Offer good quality curtains for sale or reuse online or donate to a charity shop (check with the relevant shop if will take curtains).
Clean and good quality curtains can be put into a textile recycling bank at a Household Recycling Centre. All HRC sites except for Upton-upon-Severn have textile banks. Please put them into a bag before putting into the bank. Residents in can place bagged up textiles out on their black bin on collection day and it will be placed in an area under the vehicle and recycled separately.
Dirty, torn and stained curtains will need to be put into your black/grey bin or the general waste container at an HRC.
Please do not put them in your green bin – they will not be recycled.
