Offer good quality furniture online for sale or reuse online or offer to a local charity (check their criteria first).  Some charities may collect large furniture – check our Local Reuse Organisations page.  Please note: Soft furnishings will need to have an up to date fire retardant label before charities will take them.

Broken furniture, if predominantly wood, can be recycled in the wood container at a Household Recycling Centre or placed in the general waste container.

If you cannot transport the item to an HRC, please book a bulky waste collection through your local council. Please note; this is a chargeable service and the item won’t be recycled.
