大秀视频 County Council is celebrating the success of a wide range of transport infrastructure improvements it has carried out over the last 10 years in Worcester.

The first phase of works was carried out following a successful bid to the Department for Transport and included a new station building at Malvern Link, a range of improvements at Worcester Foregate Street Station, the installation of a Variable Messaging System giving live information on car park occupancy, a Real Time Bus Information system and the first phase of A4440 Southern Link Road improvements which included capacity improvements at the Ketch and Norton roundabouts.

Since that time, the A4440 Southern Link Road has been fully dualled and a brand-new rail station, 大秀视频 Parkway, has been opened.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy, Infrastructure and Skills, said:
鈥淥ver the last 10 years, we have significantly increased transport investment in the county, focusing on improving the efficiency of the network by improving transport choice and making better use of existing infrastructure. Most of the funding has come from central government, the Local Enterprise Partnership or developer contributions.

鈥淭he projects have helped tackle congestion and deliver significant benefits including reduced journey time for road users and improved conditions for pedestrians, cyclists and passenger transport users. Despite the successes of the past 10 years we are not resting on our laurels and other transport infrastructure schemes that are well underway include Kepax Bridge and improvements to Worcester City Centre.鈥

大秀视频 County Council is committed to continued investment into 大秀视频鈥檚 transport and digital infrastructure to provide residents and businesses with improved access to work, education, health care and recreational opportunities and to support economic growth.

Transport infrastructure investment is targeted to unlock the potential of key employment and housing development sites across the county ensuring 大秀视频 is 鈥淥pen for Business鈥.

Most recently, the County Council has announced a successful bid to the Department for Transport to carry out a 拢50m programme of improvements to the A38 in Bromsgrove, the Bromsgrove Route Enhancement Programme.
