Community microenterprise - case study 2

This case study expands on the current contract with Community Catalysts to create small care and support enterprises

Case Study from Community Catalyst, July 2023

We have benefited so much from the Community Catalysts programme.

We had our business idea but had no clue how to set the wheels in motion.

I was working within the Redditch area social work team at the time and Launa happened to be invited into a team meeting to introduce herself and explain the process - we applied and haven鈥檛 looked back!

Launa has been so supportive in every step. She was so approachable from the offset; we knew we had a niche idea and had no idea how to make our business viable. We needn鈥檛 have worried. Launa helped us to see the bigger picture and how to make things happen, she gave us contacts, talked us through the process and was always on the end of the phone when (which was often) we needed advice and reassurance.

Without Launa our business idea would still be just that, a pipe dream 鈥 鈥楬ospital to Home鈥 cleaning services is now a successful reality.

鈥楬ospital to Home鈥 cleaning services in now 6 months old and is getting great reviews from other professionals.

We are so glad we took the leap to be self-employed and are going from strength to strength.

Being self-employed has given us the freedom and to enjoy a better work life balance. We are passionate about the work we do and now have more of a drive to succeed.鈥
